Four feet of deep red flowing flowers
Gladiolus ‘Espresso’ is a real sight to behold with its racemes of crimson-black, lily-like flowers. Growing to a rather tall height of four feet, this large-flowering Gladiolus will look beautiful planted at the back of a flower bed, where its richly-coloured blooms will bring depth to your planting scheme. A lovely alternative to delphiniums, we feel ‘Expresso’ would make a wonderful companion for Euphorbia. Just like Hollyhocks and Foxgloves, Sword Lilies flower in order of the lowest buds to the highest, which allows for a long flowering period (where each flower lasts for at least two weeks too!).
